In Person

On-Site Interpreting

Interpreting done face to face.

On-site interpreting is a type of interpreting that is done in person, usually at a specific location such as a hospital, court, or school.

The interpreter listens to what is being said in one language and then immediately translates it into another language for the benefit of those who do not speak the original language.

This type of interpreting allows for real-time communication and can be especially useful in situations where there are complex or technical concepts being discussed.

Video Remote Interpreting

Interpreting done through video services.

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) is a type of interpreting where the interpreter is not in the same physical location as the participants. Instead, the interpreter communicates with the participants through a video connection, allowing them to interpret in real-time.

This type of interpreting is especially useful when an on-site interpreter is not available or when participants are in different locations.

Zoom interpreting is a method of remote interpreting that utilizes Zoom, Teams, or other video conferencing platforms.

This allows interpreters to provide interpretation services for individuals or groups in different locations. Zoom interpreting can be used for a variety of settings, including legal, medical, and business meetings. It eliminates the need for travel and allows interpreters to work from any location with an internet connection.
